The state of humanity today, in numbers
👤 We are 8,215,424,893 human beings (2025)
🍞 About 665 million suffer from hunger — 8.1% (2024)
🏚️ 10.1% live in extreme poverty (2024)
⛺ About 109 million forced to flee their homes (2025)
⚔️ 195 armed conflicts in the world (2025)
These numbers update themselves every day from official sources: the World Bank, FAO, UNHCR and the UCDP conflict archive. No opinions, no retouching.
They are not numbers to divide us: they are a mirror to recognise ourselves. We are one species, on one planet, and each of these numbers is made of people like you.
And yet we had already written the solution, in 1948: the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. If you respect the human being you do not make war, you fight hunger, you care for your land.
